Broadbeach is somewhat quieter than Surfers Paradise but it also boasts an excellent stretch of beach with a variety of dining and shopping options. The first native people in Broadbeach named the beach 'Kurrawa' meaning the deep blue sea -the gorgeous beach with its fine white sands and azure water is a natural jewel with a relaxing ambience. Broadbeach also hosts the beachfront craft markets, which are also held the first and third Sunday of every month.
The Gold Coast City plays host year round to some of Australia's premier sporting competitions including Golf, Surf Life Saving and Racing Cars with the popular annual Indy at the centre of Surfer’s Paradise. With all year round sunshine and continued growth the rewards are waiting for you.
Broadbeach also caters well for the shopping keen visitors; there is also the Pacific Fair shopping centre. Pacific Fair has parking for over 5,500 cars (more than 3,000 of them are undercover) with convenient road access from the Gold Coast Highway, Hooker Boulevard and Sunshine Boulevard. Drivers with disabilities, parents with prams and seniors are well catered for with special clearly marked car parks available at all entrances to the centre.
